Privacy Policy

The short version: your data is yours. We just keep it safe while you study.

What We Collect

When you sign up, we collect your email address, username, and display name. When you study, we track your progress (streaks, mastered cards, test scores) to help you learn better. That's about it — we're not in the business of hoarding data.

How We Use It

Your data powers your learning experience: personalized study sessions, progress tracking, spaced repetition scheduling, and streak counting. We never sell your data to advertisers or third parties. Period.

Your Study Sets

Study sets you create are private by default. You choose what to make public. Public sets can be found via search by other users. You can change visibility at any time.

Cookies & Analytics

We use essential cookies to keep you logged in and remember your preferences (like dark mode). We use basic analytics to understand how QuizPapa is used so we can make it better. No creepy tracking across the web.

Third-Party Services

We use Clerk for authentication, Stripe for payments (if you go Pro), and standard hosting infrastructure. These services have their own privacy policies, and we only share the minimum data needed for them to work.

Data Deletion

You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from your profile settings. When you delete your account, we remove your personal data, study sets, and progress. Some anonymized, aggregated data may be retained for analytics.

Children's Privacy

QuizPapa is designed for students of all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without parental consent. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal data, please contact us.

Changes

If we make meaningful changes to this policy, we'll let you know via email or an in-app notification. We won't sneak anything past you.

Questions? If you have any questions about how we handle your data, reach out to us at [email protected]. We're real people and we actually read these emails.
